[Announcement] The University of Alabama Research Assistantship Scholarship (2024)

The University of Alabama’s AI Research Center provides research assistantships to graduate students who are pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science, specializing in “System Optimization for AI Applications.” Upon completing the Master’s degree within one year, students have the option to pursue a PhD degree.

The scholarship amount is USD $30,000, covering tuition and fees, health insurance, and basic living expenses for one year (three semesters).

 

Number of Available Spots: 2-3 students 

Preferred Qualifications: Graduates of Chung Yuan Christian University, particularly from the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering.

UA International Graduate Admission Requirements: 

Basic Requirements:

  • GPA > 3.0
  • TOEFL ≥ 79 or IELTS ≥ 6.5
  • GRE > 300

Specific Requirements:

  • Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: C++, Python, or Java.
  • Completion of the Industrial and Systems Engineering core program (Operations Research / Statistics).
