Introduction of the Center
The Research Center was initially established as the starting point of the Academy of Quality in One Heart (AQI), combining the knowledge and experience of fellow quality professionals and working together for the improvement of quality management. After organizing the “Enhancing Competitive Advantage – 6σ Seminar (Ⅰ)” and “Enhancing Competitive Advantage – 6σ Seminar (Ⅱ)” in November 1990 and March 2001 respectively, the enthusiastic response and support from the industry and academia accelerated the establishment of the Research Center.
The Center was established with the mission of enhancing the research level of quality management, developing the R&D results of quality management, integrating the knowledge and resources of quality management, nurturing the professional talents of quality management and promoting the international exchange of quality management. It is expected to become a key center for research and development of quality management for the Chinese people in the future. Stage-by-stage tasks include: organizing quality management related seminars, investing in the research and development of the six standard deviations, researching the excellence model of quality management, integrating regional quality management professionals, participating in APQO paper presentations, discovering potential quality management talents, publishing related research newsletters, and setting up a website for the center. The center promotes quality management research through education and training, building and education cooperation, counseling projects, and seminars and conferences. Research quality is managed through education and training, counseling projects, and seminars.
Since the fall of 2016, the Center has been renamed the Center for Sustainable Productivity and Quality Research.

- BIg data, the Internet of Things, and other professional technology has been introduced to take on existing problems such as customer orders, production scheduling planning, new product introduction process analysis, and supplier improvement management. It has vastly improved efficiency and shortened the development time, changed the organization’s basic policy and culture, and strengthened the synergistic and cooperative relationship between the customer and supplier, and thus enhanced the international competitiveness of ASE, the future trend of the industry.
