Application for Mr. Zhang Xing Memorial Scholarship at Chung Yuan Christian University
PurposePurpose
In honor of his father, Mr. Hsing Zhang, for his lifelong guidance and support, Mr. Tianjian Zhang, a former student of Chung Yuan Christian University, has generously donated $10,000 to establish the Mr. Hsing Zhang Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship aims to inspire students in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering to strive for excellence in interdisciplinary studies and embrace the professional philosophy of integrating interdisciplinary systems within the department.
Eligibility and Scholarship Programs
(I) Eligibility.
Current students or fresh graduates of the Department of Industrial Engineering.
(II) Scholarships and Grants
- Students who have completed a double major program will receive a scholarship of 30,000 RMB and a certificate of merit.
- Scholarships of NT$10,000 and certificates of merit will be awarded to students who have completed the minor program.
- Those who take the required courses of a foreign department and rank first in a single subject will be awarded NT$10,000 and a certificate of merit.
Those who rank in the top 10% of the class will be awarded NT$2,000 and a certificate of merit.
Those who rank in the top 50% of the class will be awarded NT$500 and a certificate of merit.
If there is more than one subject that meets the requirements, the number of subjects that are awarded will be limited to one.
Note: Students must take at least 2 credits of required courses from outside the department. 1 and 2 may not be duplicated; and the required courses of the Department of Information Management, the Department of Business Administration, the Department of Dual Major and the Department of Business Administration are not included in the scope of this award.
Application Time and Required Documents
(1) Students who wish to apply for the award should submit the application form with attached documents to the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering Office at the end of February and the end of August each year.
Bylaws
(1) The scholarship will be publicly recognized on Alumni Day each academic year.
(2) The announcement of the award will be made in March and September in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering Office and on the Department’s website.
(3) This scholarship program will be implemented after the approval of the departmental board of trustees.
