This belief fully demonstrates that the department continues to identify the needs of society with innovative thinking in the midst of changing times, and to design teaching programs that are relevant to the changing environment and the overall economic development of Taiwan. The main purpose of industrial and systems engineering is to help companies establish a management mechanism to continuously make products.

High School Student Zone
Established in 1964, this department was the second in the nation to establish an Industrial Engineering programme. It currently offers undergraduate, master’s, doctoral, part-time master’s (for working professionals), and international graduate programmes. In 2004, this department became the first Industrial Engineering programme in the country to achieve accreditation from the Institute of Engineering Education Taiwan (IEET), thereby aligning with international standards.
